6 Mar 2016 - Councillor to stand for Hotwells and Harbourside ward

A boundary review has created a new ward out of city-centre Cabot ward and Hotwells from Clifton ward. Veteran city-centre councillor Dr Mark Wright will stand for this new Hotwells & Harbourside ward for the Lib Dems. Mark has been city centre councillor for over 10 years and has lived on Brandon Hill and on Baltic Wharf, and has decades of involvement in the area.

Mark's team of local volunteers are proud to bring you these Cabot News newsletters all year round, keeping you informed. And with elections coming you'll soon be getting newsletters from the other parties who only turn up at election-time!

Mark says, "When I was first selected to fight for Cabot ward I was still in my 20s, and when elected in 2005 I was the youngest councillor in Bristol. Now I'm going for my 4th term as local councillor, and being in my 40s I'm a very long way from being the youngest councillor! But there's mileage in this dog yet - I love this part of central Bristol and still have more to give, and that's why I'm standing again..."
